A couple of weeks ago I shared a list of free activities to do with your preschooler that proved to be super popular – it’s always nice to see your stuff shared a few thousand times on Facebook! One person did comment though that it’s nice to do stuff with the whole family so I thought I’d rise to the challenge and see how many free activities for families I could think of!
Family time shouldn’t have to be an expensive time, although I know all too well how easy it is to pop out for half an hour with the kids and end up twenty quid lighter. Most of us like to save some money where we can so free family activities are always a good thing. Lots of these ideas are things we’ve done as a family but I’ve also asked some fellow bloggers for their favourite free activities to do as a family too.
If you’d like something to print out and keep then I’ve also included a free printable list of all these activities, you can find it at the bottom of this post.

These are fantastic ideas! And definitely needed! We are getting pretty bored now as it’s the summer holidays, and the weather hasn’t been that great. So thank you!
Less than awesome weather here too – booo!
I was really in need of this list last weekend but glad to have come across this now. I’ll bookmark it and I’m sure it will come in handy especially on the rainy days.
