Do your kids come home from the beach carrying loads of seashells? I know mine do and to be honest I’m often known to pop a couple in my pocket myself, I normally have no idea what to do with them but I can’t resist pretty things! I had an idea earlier this week about using them to make some kind of seashell decorations and as chance would have it we made these one day and decided to decorate my son’s room in a seaside theme the next day. Room decorations at the ready – boom!

Rocking Paper Plate Crab
As we live near the seaside we love making sea crafts for kids, they’re a great way to remember fun had at the beach when you can’t be there yourself! My one and four year olds made these fun paper plate crabs so they make great crafts for toddlers and are not only cute but a great way to help with fine motor skills.
Paper Plate Sea Turtle Craft
Recently I’ve been trying to think of more crafts for toddlers that I can do with my one year old daughter. If you saw my Paper Plate Sun then you’ll have seen that she loves to paint everything within reach! To try and keep the mess factor down a tiny bit I thought I’d try her out with a simple paper plate craft that only needed sticking to be done and together we made this fun paper plate sea turtle. Although I made this with a one year old, it would be easily adaptable for older kids by encouraging them to do the cutting out themselves.

O is for Orca Paper Plate Craft
I’m really excited today to be taking part in All Done Monkey’s 31 days of ABC linky. I have to admit that I’ve spent the last week being super nervous about it!
As well as the normal ‘what shall we make’ panic with both kids ill there’s been not much crafting going on and lots of Peppa Pig and Calpol instead.
We love creating sea themed craft so thankfully at the last minute I thought of doing an Orca paper plate craft and very thankfully the boy agreed that he’d like to try it!
