I’ve been meaning to share this easy owl puppet tutorial for ages, it’s a fun craft because it’s simple enough for all ages and it fits in well with some of the books my kids have been reading, plus they get to play with it afterwards! Over the last year we’ve made quite a lot of paper bag crafts for kids and my children always really enjoy them, we’ve had a lot of puppet shows and they’re great for encouraging creative play so I think we’ll probably be making them for a while yet!

This weekend we had a bit of a mad craft project overload making four new crafts, it’s been a while since we’ve done it so I really enjoyed it, well apart from the bit when my youngest got in a mood and decided to try and eat all the craft supplies but hey ho that’s parenting for you. My son did a lot of arctic animals crafts for kids at school last winter and we thought it would be good to try and create a few of our own, the first of which is this cute snowy owl craft for kids. I had an idea of how it should be but my kids unsurprisingly had their own ideas which I think probably worked even better!

I’m a bit obsessed with making felt finger puppets and my latest one is no exception, this cute owl! I think that using a sewing machine can be a bit overwhelming to a lot of people, but this project only requires hand sewing and within a short time you can make this cute owl that would be a lovely toy for your kids or make a great gift for someone else!
