I must admit that I originally planned these scrunched paper star craft as a New Years Eve activity but my daughter loved making them so much that we’ll probably use them for other times of the year too – after all stars are good for studying space, Fourth of July and of course Christmas too – you could just pop a bit of string through these and they’d be a great kid-made ornament. I’ve also included a free star template for you as it turns out drawing stars freehand was a lot trickier than I expected!

I love this simple Christmas lights craft, depending on what you have around the house you could use Duplo or Lego but Duplo is great for little hands to hold and the ‘lights’ in it are a good size too.
