Are you looking for a free printable star template?

Our PDF is perfect for creating projects with your child or just for using for a basic coloring page.

Star crafts and activities are great for nativity and Christmas crafts as well as projects on space or maybe even highlighting a child that’s been the star of the week!

It’s basic blank outline means that it’s one that can be used for lots of projects, although of course we’ve got some ideas to get you started too.

Free Star Template

We love sharing free printables to help you get creative with your kids at home, school or preschool!

This printable pack contains two different large star designs. Download them and you can use both of just print the one that you want to use.

One design is a basic five pointed star while the second design has a large border to it.

You can use these star patterns to make decorations, as writing prompts, for scrapbooking,  as star coloring pages or for creating some star crafts.

I’ve shared some ideas and I’m sure that you’ll come up with loads of ideas for ways to use it too.

Star Craft Ideas

Coloring – this is always the easiest activity that we recommend. Just grab some markers or coloring pencils and you’re ready to go.

Mosaic – use scrap paper or look for colored paper in magazines and comics, cut out some shapes and glue them onto your star.

Tissue paper – we made these scrunched paper stars for New Years Eve but you can change up the colors and use them for whatever theme you’re planning. As the tissue and glue can become a little heavy I’d recommend that for this craft you print your template out onto cardstock.

Suncatcher – we made a star suncatcher when my kids were preschoolers and this template would be perfect for creating it.

Stencils – adults can carefully cut out the centre of the star (use  craft knife or scissors) and then you can use this template as a star stencil to make some crafts. How about using pom poms or foil dipped in paint to make your star shapes?

Torn paper  – use scrap or construction paper torn into pieces and glued on to decorate your shape.
