Printable Camping Game
Over the years I’ve been camping loads of times with my kids both here in the UK and in France. It’s always been a really fun experience but there’s always a bit of time when we need something fun but not too raucous to do and easy games like this are perfect for that.
At home we’ve been known to get the tent or sleeping bags out too so this game is perfect if your next camping trip is actually indoors and it’s also a fun choice if you’re looking at a camping theme in your classroom.
Our treasure hunt style game is quick-prep and you don’t need lots of expensive materials, you just need to decide where you’ll be hiding your marshmallow on your game sheet and try to guess where your opponent has hidden theirs.
What Materials Do I Need To Play?

- Two sheets of white printer paper
- 2 Marker pens
How To Play Our Camping Game
Start by printing out two copies of the PDF file, I would recommend that you print these using colored ink so that you can see all of the picture properly.
Now decide where you will hide your marshmallow and draw it into one of the squares somewhere in the bottom grid. Fold up the bottom of the page so that your opponent can’t see where you’ve hidden it but don’t worry, you can always sneak a look for yourself if you need reminding what square it’s in.
Next up it’s time to try and guess where your opponent has hidden their marshmallow so think of some questions you could ask to try and narrow down where it might be like ‘Is your marshmallow in a tent?’
If the answer is no then you can draw a cross in all the squares that have a tent in them.
Take turns asking questions until you’re ready to guess the actual square, for example ‘Is it in square E9?’
The winner is the first person to correctly guess where their opponent’s marshmallow is hidden.
