What You'll Find on This Page
Campfire Template
In the PDF file for this printable you’ll find two different templates so you can choose the one that’s most appropriate for the activity that you want to try.
The first template is a more basic design with only the outlines of the flames and the wooden logs beneath them.
The second template has a little more detail to both the flames and the wood underneath.
You can print both templates or just the one you like and of course you can print as many copies as you like, meaning it’s perfect if you are working with a group of children or just if you fancy trying out a few ideas.
Campfire Craft Ideas
Coloring
Both of these printables would be great as campfire coloring sheets and it’s a great way to keep kids busy too without taking ages to set up. You can use markers, crayons or coloring pencils for this or grab the paints and use this as a painting template.
Handprint Campfire
The more basic campfire template would be perfect for making a simple handprint craft. All you need to do is pour yellow, red and orange paints onto a plate or tray and then dip your hand into the paint before carefully pressing it onto your template to make some handprint flames.
Obviously this is a bit of a messy option so make sure that you keep a damp cloth nearby to wipe up messy hands afterwards or that you have easy access to a sink.
Sponge Painting
We’ve made a sponge printed campfire craft before and I think this would work really well as well using one of these illustrations as guidance for kids to show where to do their printing.
Tissue Paper
There are two different ways that you could use tissue paper to make a campfire craft. Firstly you could use strips or squares of tissue paper and simple glue them onto your picture.
Another alternative is to scrunch up balls of tissue paper before you glue them down for a craft that’s more three dimensional.
Torn Paper
Torn paper is great for crafting with, it’s a fun alternative to using scissors and can be a great way to use up any scrap paper as well as being good for fine motor skills.
Simply tear red, orange or yellow pieces of paper into strips and glue them onto your template to create the flames.
