King’s Coronation Printables
We love sharing free printables so it made sense to share these which are perfect for the coronation which is taking place in May this year.
The coronation is the ceremony where the new monarch is crowned and I think I can say with certainty that it will be all over the news here in the UK so it’s likely to be something that kids are interested in.
My children love any excuse for a party or celebration so I know these posters will be popular with them.
While the Queen was known for her love or corgi’s the King and the Queen Consort Camilla have two Jack Russell terriers which they rescued from Battersea Cats and Dogs Home. For this reason you’ll find pictures of both dogs available in our downloads.
When Is The Coronation of King Charles?
The coronation ceremony is on Saturday 6th May at Westminster Abbey in London. After the ceremony the King’s procession will go to to Buckingham Palace.
Watch out for the King and Queen Consort appearing on the balcony where they’ll be joined by other members of the Royal family. I expect they’ll be a lot of talk about if Prince Harry and Megan Markle are there!
There will be a concert at Windsor Castle on 7th May and in the UK there will be an extra bank holiday on Monday 8th May.
How Can I Celebrate The Coronation?
You can do as much or as little as you like to celebrate the coronation, from colouring in these posters to planning a coronation street party!
Why not try organising an afternoon tea complete with scones, jam, cream and cucumber sandwiches. Don’t forget to spread the jam first! For dinner you could make or buy some fish and chips.
We think everything seems a bit more fun when you decorate it so how about making some themed cupcakes in red, white and blue cupcake liners.
You could even make some different cupcake toppers by wrapping a piece or paper or card round the top of a cocktail stick (secure it with a glue stick or double sided tape) and drawing a little Union Jack flag on it or picture of a crown.
What Is In The Printable Posters PDF Pack?
There are twenty different designs for you to choose from, or you can print and colour them all!
The designs include Jack Russell terriers and Corgis, crowns, hearts, the Union Jack flag and bunting. We think they’re super cute!
