Free Printable Halloween Wreath Craft for Kids
We love making Halloween crafts and when my kids were younger the last week before October 30th would always be absolutely filled with them trying to make as many Halloween crafts as possible to decorate our home with.
This printable Halloween wreath is a great choice if you’re looking for something low-prep and low-mess to make. There’s no painting involved and you only need the most basic craft supplies like markers, scissors and glue.
The wreath has loads of Halloween themed items to decorate it with including ghosts, jack o’lantern pumpkins and spiders and you have a choice of two banners for your finished craft too.
It’s a fun way for kids to practice coloring and scissor skills and as you can print as many copies as you like, this craft is great for using with groups in classrooms or libraries and of course you can make it at home too.
All you need to do is decide where you’ll display your completed Halloween wreath.
What’s Included in our Halloween Wreath Printable
Our Halloween wreath craft PDF is a two page printable designed in black and white so that it can be colored in.
The first page has the wreath outline and also shows a graphic of the finished activity to show you what your finished craft will look like as well as having instructions for making the craft.
The second page contains all of our Halloween wreath decorations. There are two banners to choose from, one with ‘Happy Halloween’ and one with ‘Trick or Treat’.
You’ll also find jack o’lantern pumpkins, bats, ghosts, webs, eyeballs, bones, candy corn, stars, a witch’s hat, skull and witch’s legs to decorate your wreath with.
Supplies Needed for This Summer Craft
- Halloween wreath PDF
- Printer paper or cardstock and a printer
- Scissors
- Glue
- Colored pencils, markers or crayons
- Optional – string or yarn
How to Make a Halloween Wreath Craft
Start by printing both pages of the printable onto white paper or cardstock. I’ve used normal white printer paper to make my Halloween wreath but if you’d like something a little more durable then choose thicker paper or cardstock instead.
Color in the wreath template and the Halloween items on the second page. You only need to color in the banner that you’ll be using for your craft.
If you’d like to make this craft a bit quicker to color you can print the wreath page onto colored cardstock or paper instead so that it’s already colored.
Use scissor to cut out the wreath shape and all of the Halloween pieces.
Glue the Halloween items all around the wreath making sure that you leave room for your Happy Halloween or Trick or Treat banner.
Glue the banner onto the wreath and stick the witch’s legs onto the back of the wreath so that they are sticking out into the centre.
If you would like to hang your wreath up to display it you can tape a loop of string or ribbon onto the back of the finished craft.

Instructions
- Print both pages of the PDF onto white paper or cardstock.
- Color in the wreath and the Halloween items on page two of the printable.
- Cut out the wreath shape and all of the Halloween themed items.
- Glue the cut out Halloween pictures onto the wreath shape.
- Glue the banner onto the wreath and stick the witch's legs onto the back of the wreath so tha they are sticking out.
