Let’s Make It!
Start by drawing a picture or pattern on to your coloured paper or card. The card I’ve used for this was from an A4 piece of card (roughly US letter size) that had been cut to about 10cm wide.
I’ve drawn hearts on this but it’s a great way for kids to show a bit of creativity, they could paint, draw a picture of their dad, use stickers or for very young kids or babies a scribble would be just as treasured!
Next fold the paper concertina style with the folds about 1cm thick and then secure the bottom of the fan together with sellotape.
On the card it’s time to write your message – older kids can do this themselves or you can help younger ones. To secure the fan onto the card use glue dots on the back of the fan and then stick it into place.
