Cut and Paste Beach Craft

Going to the beach is one of my kids favorite things to do during the summer but as much as I love being able to spend more time outdoors during the warmer months there are also those times when you need something that you can do at home.

I love using themed resources to keep my kids interested in activities and this cute cut and paste summer craft is perfect for when you want or need to spend a bit of time at home.

This activity uses just a few craft staples that you probably already own and is super easy to make.

As you can print as many copies of the PDF file as you like it’s also a great option for using in classrooms or libraries where you might have a large group of children.

As well as this printable activity I’m also sharing some of my favorite beach crafts for kids that you might like too.

Items To Glue Onto Your Beach Scene:

  • Sun hat
  • Sun
  • Palm tree
  • Lighthouse
  • Sunglasses
  • Sandcastle
  • Children playing in the sea
  • Sunglasses
  • Deck chair
  • Swim ring
  • Seagulls
  • Bucket and spade
  • Boat
  • Beach ball
  • Parasol
  • Sun lotion

Craft Supplies

  • Beach scene PDF
  • White paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Colored markers, coloring pencils or crayons

How To Make Your Beach Craft

Start by printing both pages of the PDF file onto white paper. You can print the beach scene page (or both pages) onto cardstock if you would like to make your craft a little bit more sturdy but personally for this craft I think normal white printer paper is absolutely fine.

Grab your coloring materials and color in your beach scene and all of the items on the item page.

Using your scissors cut each of the items out following the dotted lines around them.

Add a little bit of glue to the back of each item and stick them onto your beach scene.

If you need any inspiration for how the finished craft should look then you’ll find a little image of a completed craft in the top corner of the printable but really you can stick each bit wherever you like so go ahead and design your own beach scene!

More Beach Crafts for Kids

Over the years I’ve shared loads of beach crafts for kids with ideas you can make using basic supplies like paper plates or salt dough to free printable crafts like this one.

These are some of my favorites but you’ll find loads more easy ideas with our summer crafts.

This paper plate beach craft is really easy to make and you could adapt it to add anything beach related you’d like.

I’ve included a bucket and spade but how about drawing on a palm tree or you could use beach themed stickers to decorate, a great way to help support fine motor skills too!

If your kids are anything like mine then a trip to the beach normally means that you’ll come home with a pocket full of sea shells.

This shell suncatcher craft uses one of our free printable templates and looks great in a window with the summer sun shining through it.

Finally one of the things my kids (and me) like most about the summer has to be ice cream and it’s definitely a great treat for any trip to the beach!

Why not try out this torn paper ice cream craft that uses another of our free templates. It’s a fun way to use up any scrap colored paper or construction paper too!
