I adore Christmas lanterns, their soft glow cheers up the room on a darkened evening or they look lovely in a windowsill making your home look even more inviting as you get closer. But a toddler friendly Christmas lantern? My four year old son and I made traditional glass lanterns last week and my toddler joined in but….oh man she just hates the feel of glue. Really hates that stuff, and you could tell she really wanted to craft with us and she gave it a good shot but it just wasn’t the greatest thing for her. We love making crafts for toddlers though so once we’d put away all the totally non-toddler friendly stuff I started thinking about how we could make this classic Christmas craft into something she could do too and this is what I came up with!

10 Snow Globe Crafts for Kids
Snow globes are a classic winter or Christmas craft for kids, but rather embarrassingly until last week I had no idea how to make them! A friend asked me for advice, thinking that as I write about kids crafts I might actually know a thing or two about that kind of thing but uhhh. No. I had to ask my friend Mr Pinterest for help. There are loads of cool snow globes that kids can make, from ones in glass jars, to finger print snow globes, melting snow globes for the bath and paper plate snow globes. So if you fancy making some snow globe crafts for kids this year then you’re in the right place to find all the ideas you could possibly need!

Free Christmas Printables
These free Christmas printables are a great idea if you’re looking for some cheap crafts and activities for Christmas. There are free cupcake topper printables, downloadable crackers and gift tags as well as printable pictures that can be used for gifts. This is such a great little resource I’m already excited about returning to it next year!
Cookie Cutter Christmas Cards
This week we’ve been making cookie cutter Christmas cards. I’m going to hold my hands up and say that Christmas card writing is probably my least favourite Christmas activity, so getting the kids to do some homemade cards always makes it more bearable for me! These cards may not look like Clinton’s finest, but they are kid made and are great to send to family members. Plus cookie cutter crafts are fun for the kids so that’s a good thing by me!
