Paper Plate Thor Helmet DIY
So, a couple of weeks back I posted a tutorial on how to make a Captain America shield from paper plates that was super popular with my son and it got me thinking. We love superhero crafts (heck, we love everything superhero!) so what else could we make ourselves? The answer of course was this simple Thor helmet DIY that we made with paper plates and some cardboard from the recycling bin. Needless to say it’s been a hit too!

Fishing for Dinosaurs Ice Experiment
After the huge success of our science experiment the other week where we entombed Batman in ice, I thought I’d like to try another ice science experiment with my son. Picking up ice with string and salt is a classic experiment, but I thought it might be a bit dull for my son as he is only four, so I thought about what four year old’s are actually interested in and came up with this fishing for dinosaurs experiment!

Rainbow Crafts and Activities for Kids
It’s the second week in a row of poor health here in the Crafts on Sea household so I thought I’d take some time out to share some crafts and activities that put a smile on my face! I love rainbow crafts and activities, rainbows are a great way to teach basic science and weather to kids, they work brilliantly as St Patricks Day crafts and also my youngest’s name means Rainbow. What’s not to love about them?!
