I think that these paint chip puzzles might be the cheapest Halloween activity I’ve ever created for my kids? I guess they must be since they pretty much cost me nothing to make! I love Halloween crafting with my kids but at the rate they go through things the cost of doing activities can add up very quickly so it’s nice to throw in something thrifty sometimes! Today I’m sharing how to make these super simple paint chip puzzles as well as some of my favourite Halloween activities for toddlers to help keep the little people in your life busy this October.
Crafts for kids
Paw Patrol Sensory Tub
Paw Patrol. I think it’s got to be the most popular programme for kids at the moment, my two and all their friends are obsessed. But have you seen the price of the toys? Ouch! We love easy activities for toddlers and this simple idea means you can make the most of the cheaper toys without having to spend out on all the big pricey extras. Is it still a big thing to play with? Heck yes, but this Paw Patrol sensory tub will cost you pennies and even better if they tire of it you can happily throw it away guilt free, saving a bit of room in your toybox too!
Halloween Resist Art for Kids
We are still on the daily countdown to Halloween round ours so yesterday I thought I’d try out something new with the kids and give some resist art a go! These fingerprint Halloween pictures turned out a lot spookier than I originally expected but both my four and two year old adored making them, plus the technique we came up with for creating the pictures helps improve muscle strength in fingers making it great for kids who are learning to write. Also, that bit gave me an excuse for skipping homework last night, sorry teachers, we had some Halloween resist art to make and it couldn’t possibly wait!
Peppa Pig Crafts and Activities
Do your kids love Peppa Pig? My daughter is absolutely obsessed! Whenever we go out if we see another child with something Peppa related we have to go up and take a good look, still I guess it’s a new icebreaker! When I heard that tickets for Peppa Pig Live were about to go on sale I asked if we would be able to review it and I’m very thankful that they said yes, I know my kids will have a great time. What I love even more is that Peppa Pig’s Surprise is on tour, meaning that we can be at the theatre in less than ten minutes rather than having to brave traveling for hours with two over excited small people – phew! So today I’m sharing some fun Peppa Pig crafts and activities that your kids might enjoy and of course sharing details of Peppa Pig Live in case you’d like to see it too!
Recycled CD Spider Craft for Kids
Are you excited about Halloween yet? My son has been asking me everyday how much longer he has to wait! As I can’t move the big day forward at all I thought we’d try out this recycled CD spider craft.
As we love sharing crafts for toddlers these were made by my two year old as well as my four year old, I think they’re a pretty cute halloween craft for kids but my son informs me they’re super spooky!
