Candy Corn Craft

Whether you love eating candy corn or not it’s definitely one of those things that reminds people of Halloween and it’s basic shape means that candy corn crafts are often more achievable for younger kids such as those in kindergarten or preschool rather than dealing with trickier vampires or Frankenstein’s.

Another benefit of this craft is that you will be tearing tissue paper, which means you don’t have to use scissors at all.

Free Candy Corn Craft Template

We have lots of free printables that you can download with lots of them themed towards Halloween. Of course you can draw the template out yourself but if you’d rather not or if you need a lot of candy corn outlines then make sure you grab out printable candy corn template.

Scrunched Tissue Candy Corn Craft

First print out your candy corn template. You can do this onto white paper like I have here but if you’d prefer to have a colored background then use colored paper, just make sure it’s not too dark for the candy corn shape to show.

If your child is also likely to use a lot of glue then you might find it helpful to print onto cardstock so that it’s less likely to become over saturated and tear.

If you want to make sure that each section is filled in with the correct color then I would recommend adding glue to one part of the template at a time. So for this I’ve added glue to the bottom section first to add yellow tissue paper to.

To decorate your candy corn with the tissue paper simply tear it into pieces and then scrunch it into balls before sticking it onto the glue. You can try scrunching up bigger and smaller pieces and it’s a really nice hands-on material to use.
