What You'll Find on This Page
Alpaca Craft Template
My kids love alpaca’s and to be honest I do do, they’re super cute and they’re definitely an animal that always puts a smile on my face.
Our printable template makes it really easy for you to try out some easy crafts and activities at home or in a classroom (or library.. or round grandma’s.. or in preschool…)
In the PDF file you’ll find two different designs, the first is a basic outline of an alpaca while the second one also contains the alpaca’s face, all you have to do is decide which one you want to use.
If you’re using this for crafts with younger kids then I also think you’d be ok using this as a llama template too.
The main differences between the two animals are that alpaca’s are smaller and their faces and hair is slightly different, if you want you could use this as something for your kids to look up!
Alpaca Craft Ideas
Coloring
Coloring and painting is one of the easiest and most popular activities for kids and this resource makes great alpaca coloring pages.
All you need to do is print out the page you’d prefer and grab your paints, coloring pencils, crayons or colored markers.
As most of us use white printer paper coloring in a white alpaca is going to be tricky but alpacas come in all different shades – why not try brown, gray or black instead.
Cotton Wool
You can’t help but notice how super fluffy alpacas are so decorating with cotton wool balls is a great idea for a hands on activity.
Simply use a glue stick or school glue / PVA glue to cover your alpacas body and then glue on your cotton wool balls.
Add a Saddle
You might have seen pictures of alpacas or alpaca toys with cute and colorful saddles so why not design your own?
You could add stickers or glue on pom pom or bits of ribbon to decorate it too.
Pom Pom Painting
We love painting with pom poms as an easy way to add some texture to your art.
To try this idea out all you need to do is pour a little paint onto a plate or dish so that it’s easy to access and then dip your pom pom into the paint before stamping it onto your alpaca.
This is an activity that can often lead to messy fingers so if your child doesn’t like the feel of paint (or if you don’t want messy hands) you can use a clothes peg to hold onto the pom pom instead.
