What You'll Find on This Page
Advent Calendar To Colour
I’m so pleased to be able to share this printable advent calendar for kids with you because I think it’s such a sweet design! I also think it’s really nice to be able to have an activity to do each day as well as just the traditional sweet filled ones. We’ll be having chocolate calendars too but if you are looking for a sweet free one then this is a great sugar-free countdown alternative.
This would also be really nice as a Christmas activity for classrooms, kids can colour in the picture for each day as a nice quiet time activity to start the day or they can design a new calendar to give to a friend in their class.
Knowing my own kids I expect that these versions of advent coloring pages are likely to include Christmas themed Pokemons as much as they are Santa!
You can get all four pages of this calendar design at the bottom of this page by subscribing the free Crafts on Sea newsletter. We won’t spam you and you can unsubscribe at any time – we do send lots of printables like this though which are perfect for keeping your kids entertained!
Supplies Needed:
- Your printed advent calendar or blank template
- Colouring pens / markers
Optional a pencil if you are drawing your own designs
How To Use a Colour In Advent Calendar
Each day use markers or colouring pencils to colour in the picture for that day, starting with the 1st December and finishing with your final picture on December 24th Christmas Eve.
How To Create Your Own Advent Calendar
This is a fun activity for older children to create. Use the blank PDF pages to draw a picture for each day that someone else can colour in. If you need any prompts then presents, Santa hats, an ornament or a Christmas tree are all great options.
What Does This PDF Include?
The PDF file for these templates has four different designs. You will get all the designs but you can just print out the number of pages that you want and of course you can print as many copies as you like too which makes it ideal for classroom use or if you have more than one child.
- A Christmas colouring countdown where your child can colour in each day’s picture
- A Christmas drawing countdown where they can draw a picture each day, the calendar numbers are drawn on each day for this
- A blank Christmas colouring countdown. Your child can draw a picture for each of the numbered days of advent and then give it as a gift to a sibling or friend to colour in
- A blank template where your child can create a totally homemade advent calendar deciding what number should go where and what to draw in each space.
