Glamping in Cornwall

Updated on 16th December 2019 by Kate Williams | 3 Comments

I must admit that over the last year I’ve become a bit obsessed with glamping. We’d been before in Essex but once we moved to the South West it seemed like the perfect way to explore, get the kids outside and of course have fun! There are loads of places to go glamping in Cornwall but these are some of my favourites – all of these glamping sites are places that we’ve been to or are on our to-do list to visit shortly!

What You'll Find on This Page

  • South Penquite Farm
  • Safari Tents at Widemouth Bay
  • Feather Down Farms
  • Canopy and Stars
  • YHA Bell Tents at The Eden Project
  • Tremeer Farm Yurts
  • Puddle Duck Valley

South Penquite Farm

We visited the fabulous yurts at South Penquite Farm twice last year – you can read my review here – and we’re booked to go back again in the spring. A fabulous working farm with yurts at the end of the camping field, South Penquite is also really good value so if you’re looking for cheap glamping this is perfect!

Safari Tents at Widemouth Bay

John Fowler Holidays have just started their own glamping with safari tents at two of their sites, one in Devon and with these at their site in Widemouth Bay in north Cornwall. We’ll be trying the tents out this summer and I love how spacious they are inside, I also think they look like really good value and the views sound fantastic!

Feather Down Farms

Feather Down Farms have two glamping sites in Cornwall – Boswarthen near Penzance and Treganhoe near Sancreed. Feather Down Farms aren’t the cheapest places for glamping in Cornwall but it really is luxury glamping with the tents looking gorgeous and the great feedback on the site speaks for itself.

Canopy and Stars

Canopy and Stars has a host of gorgeous glamping sites in Cornwall and while a few of them are more for couples there are loads of family friendly glamping options too. The Lambing Hut is a gorgeous shepherds hut set in a field on a farm while this beautiful looking safari tent would be perfect for larger families. Cuckoo Moon Cabin looks perfect for families too – I love how it has a teepee, trampoline and a slide there!

YHA Bell Tents at The Eden Project

We stayed at these tents last summer and you can read my review here – they are basic but the tents contain every thing you need and the view from them is amazing! The YHA has other glamping sites in Cornwall on their site which you can view here including Lands End and Penzance.

Tremeer Farm Yurts

Winner of the Glamping Business of the Year award from the Cornwall Tourism Awards, Tremeer Farm Yurts are on a family run farm near to the Fowey River. You’re welcome to collect your own eggs from the chicken coop and kids can feed the animals in the mornings too. During the summer holidays short breaks aren’t available but they are the rest of the time.

Puddle Duck Valley

Puddle Duck Valley is actually in Devon but as it’s only a 30 minite drive from the beach in Bude I thought I had to include it! This will be another one that we’ll be visiting this summer and I’m super excited about it – as well as the kids helping out with the farming duties in the morning there’s boating, pond dipping, treasure hunts and a dinosaur dig – and of course some rather lovely looking yurts!

I love glamping – not the biggest fan of roughing it but do like adventure so this is perfect. Featherdown farm looks amazing

I really like the sound of glamping and I’d like to try and fit in a break somewhere this year if we have time x

What a fantastic post! We’ve been meaning to visit Cornwall – thanks for introducing these to me. I especially like the sound of the bell tents at the Eden Project.
