Free Printable Santa Christmas Card Template

I think that DIY Christmas cards are lovely both to make and to receive and our printable Christmas card template makes it super easy for you and your kids to create something that both they and the recipient will love.

We have loads of free Christmas printables but our cards that kids can color in are always a favorite, we have loads of different designs available but this Santa card is definitely one of my favorites and I love the little robin sat on top of his sack too!

Download the PDF file and you’ll find three different designs to choose from:

  • The first is the design that you can see in the tutorial on this page with a message saying ‘Happy Christmas’ on the back of the card and room for you to write who the card is to and from.
  • The second design has a blank area on Santa’s back so that you can write a message.
  • The third design has no space for a message but has the full design of Santa drawn in so that this can be used as a Santa craft.

Craft Supplies Needed

  • 3D Santa card PDF
  • White paper or cardstock
  • Colored markers or coloring pencils
  • Scissors
  • Glue

How To Make Your 3D Santa Card

Start by printing out the PDF file onto white paper or cardstock. Using cardstock will help to make this card a little more sturdy however if you only have normal white printer paper available then this will still work.

You will need to print the first page which shows the stand but then you only need to print one of the pages which shows Santa’s body.

Color in all the parts of the design. If you are using one of the designs with room to leave a message or write your name then make sure that you do this too.

Using scissors carefully cut each of the four parts out. You’ll find a dotted line around each part to help guide you.

Glue the front and back parts of the stand together and stick the front and back pieces of the Santa template together too.

Using your scissors cut a slot into the top of the stand and the bottom of the Santa design as shown by the dotted lines on the template.
