Icicles Template
I couple of weeks ago we had a cold snap here in the UK and I really noticed the kids on the school run looking at the icicles that had been formed.
Maybe it’s because where I live we don’t see them that often but there was something almost magical about them that was mesmerising them, my own children were desperate to snap some off to play with.
As usual, our icicles template is free to download and it’s perfect for inspiring some winter themed crafts and activities at home or in the classroom.
Icicle Craft Ideas
Coloring
Coloring and painting are always really simple ideas but they’re also often the ones that we turn to the most because they’re so easy to set up and so popular with kids.
If you print this template onto white paper then you could use winter colors such as blue and purple to color it in or you could try printing it onto blue paper and using white markers, paint, crayons or coloring pencils instead.
Mosaic
Cut out pieces of colored paper and cardstock and stick them onto your icicle outline.
This is a good way to practice scissor skills and fine motor skills too.
Aluminium foil
There are three different ways that you could use foil to decorate your icicles.
You can cut it into shapes and glue it down, you can scrunch it into shapes before sticking it onto your template for a more 3D effect or finally why not try painting with it by scrunching it into a ball and dabbing it into some paint which you can then dab onto the template.
