Free Printable 3D Nativity Scene Craft For Kids
This printable nativity set has to be one of my favorite crafts that we’ve shared, it’s so sweet and it’s going to look gorgeous on display in your home.
I love it when kids can contribute to the Christmas decor and this is one that I think will be perfect for it!
This PDF contains four pages and is free to download.
You’ll find three pages of the craft template itself and one page which also contains the instructions for making it.
All of the important Christmas nativity figures are included in this craft. You’ll find the baby Jesus, Mary and Joseph, three wise men, a shepherd and an angel.
As well as these charters the craft also includes sheep, a donkey, a camel, the Christmas star and the town of Bethlehem in the background behind the stable itself.
You can print as many copies as you like so as well as this being a Christmas craft that you can make with your child at home it would also make a great nativity craft for Sunday Schools or as a nativity activity for classrooms. Making this with younger kids? You might like to check out our round up of nativity and advent activities for toddlers and preschoolers too.

Craft Supplies Needed
- Nativity craft template – printed onto cardstock
- Coloring materials – markers, crayons or coloring pencils
- Scissors
- Glue – double sided tape is normally best to ensure that the craft is held together firmly
How To Make Your 3D Nativity Scene
Print your nativity craft template onto white cardstock. You could use paper for this but cardstock gives it that bit more stability.
Make sure that when you print the template out that you choose ‘fit to page’ to ensure that it prints out correctly.

Colour in the three pages of the craft template. I’ve gone for coloring pencils to do this but my daughter and her friend have also made this craft and used markers for it which made it gorgeous and bright.
It’s worth noting that when you color in the third page (with Merry Christmas written on it) not all of the page will be seen so you don’t need to color too far down.

Next you need to cut out the three separate parts for the craft. There’s a dotted line around each part to help guide you.
This is definitely a stage for older kids or adults to do as you need to make sure that you cut around all the tabs correctly and you will also need to cut out the centre of the first page inside the stable and around the manger so that you can see through the middle of the craft once it’s constructed.
Finally you need to stick the three parts of your nativity craft together.
I’ve used double sided tape rather than a glue stick for this because in my experience it’s really good at holding things together strongly and you don’t need to worry about glue becoming unstuck.

You’ll find a reminder of the instructions both on the PDF and the tabs themselves to show to where to attach each one but as a guide you’ll fold each tab and then stick A1 to A2, B1 to B2 etc. Trust me it’s easy to follow!
There’s also solid lines on the roof of the stable which you will need to fold and again these are highlighted on the printable.
Once you have connected all the tabs your nativity craft is complete and ready to display.

This turned out super cute! Thank you so much for a quality craft! We printed it out on white cardstock. My four-year-old did the coloring and I cut everything out (I used an X-acto knife on one part of one of the pages) and assembled it.
I’m so glad you both enjoyed it! Thank you for letting me know x
