Color Scavenger Hunts
As a mom of two kids I know that there’s plenty of times I’ve run out of fun activities for my kids and there’s nothing worse than hearing the dreaded ‘I’m bored!’
What I love about printables like these are that they’re super quick to prepare and you don’t need to buy anything expensive to have fun. Plus with both indoor and outdoor printables you could have fun at the park or just have your kid racing around indoors.
A great option on a rainy day when they need to burn off a little energy!
The other great thing about these scavenger hunts is that they’re easily adaptable.
While you might not necessarily have all the things in your house or backyard that other scavenger hunts can ask for, the chances are that you’ll be able to find something of each of the different colors.
This color scavenger hunt is also a really good choice for younger kids as toddlers and preschoolers will be able to recognise and match the colors no matter if they can read the color words or not while older kids will be able to read the printable themselves.

How To Use Your Scavenger Hunt Game
To play this game simply print out a copy for each participant onto white printer paper. They can then have a look around your chosen area to find an item in each of the colors.
Once you’ve found the item then can then write it’s name, draw a picture of the item or place or glue the item into the correct circle.
If you are doing this activity with more than one child then you could have them each have a printable and they could race to see who can be the winner and find them all first or you could get your kids to work together to find all the different colors and to also encourage a bit of teamwork. As usual go with what works best for you.
