Advert. This printable farm scavenger hunt is so cute and I know it’s going to make your next trip to the farm with your kids even more fun as you search for all the animals on the list.
Not got a trip planned? Grab a book about farms from your local library and you can look through that instead, colouring the animals in that you find.
I’ve partnered with Very to share about their brilliant range of printers that are perfect for the free printables that we share. I love the Epson Eco Tank and I can’t believe how many scavenger hunts and printable crafts I’ll be able to print now without having to change the ink.

Farm Scavenger Hunt
It’s no secret that we’ve shared a lot of scavenger hunts for kids, they’re a fun way to keep kids entertained at home or on days out and as all our scavenger hunts are free they’re a great way to have a good time together on a budget too.
The PDF for this scavenger hunt has two pages, one with UK spellings and one with US spellings so that you can choose the one that’s appropriate for your kids. Just pick the one you want when it’s time to print it and don’t forget you can print as many copies as you like so it’s perfect for preschools and school age classes too.
About The Printer
With two school age kids and this site I’m sure you can imagine that we do a lot of printing in our home. I always seem to be spending money on new ink cartridges and you may have noticed in some older posts that the print quality was less than awesome.
Very have a great range of printers and I’d heard from other people about the Epson Eco Tank being a really good option so I was really pleased to get to put it through it’s paces and I’ve been so impressed with it!
For a start, printing with it is really cheap, definitely an issue if you have to print a lot, but this printer can save you up to 90% on printing costs which is a huge amount.
One set of ink bottles can give you up to 7,500 pages in black and 6,000 in colour, which is the equivalent of up to 72 cartridges worth of ink. Now I print a lot but that’s still going to last me a long time and means that my kids don’t need to worry that we’ll run out of ink half way through printing out their homework.
With the Eco Tank you’ll be refilling the printer with ink yourself, something I was so nervous to do, but it was absolutely fine and actually so easy next time I think I’ll let my kids try it, although with how long the ink lasts who knows how long that will be?
My kids have already worked out how to use the printer and the Epson Smart Panel app means that you can control your printer from your phone, meaning I don’t need to drag my laptop out every time my kids find something online they want to print. Much less hassle!

Do I Need To Find Everything In The Scavenger Hunt?
No, obviously all farms will have slightly different animals and if you’re looking at a book then that might have different farm animals too, just try and see how many you can find.
If you want to do this as a competition with different groups of kids then you could see who can find the most but I know that with my own children they’re normally happy enough to just see what they can find.
Do I Need To Go To A Farm To Use This Printable?
No, as you can see we tried out this scavenger hunt at home, looking through books to see which of the animals we could find and then colouring in each item. Depending on the age of your child it can be a good way to encourage them to read more too.
