Winter Hat Craft Printable (FREE PDF)

If you’re looking for a fun winter activity for kids then why not grab our free printable winter hat craft?

This cut out craft has two pages to download so that you can design your own winter hat complete with decorations and a pom pom bobble to glue on the top.

You’ll only need to add the most basic of craft supplies and you can print as many copies as you like so it’s perfect for classrooms too.

Winter Hat Craft Printable

With the colder weather the winter season can feel longer than the others sometimes, you don’t have those trips to the beach or pool and there’s definitely more times when you need to keep your kids entertained at home instead.

I really enjoy doing some easy winter crafts at this time of year because I figure you might as well lean in to the things that are going on and enjoy it, you’ll find some more of our winter themed activities below to help inspire you too.

Craft Supplies

• White paper
• Scissors
• Glue
• Coloring pencils, colored markers or crayons

Cut and Paste Winter Hat

Print out both pages of the PDF file. If you only want to make a quick and simple winter hat then just print the first page but if you’d like to have the options of the decorations on the second page then make sure you print both.

Grab your crayons, coloring pencils or marker pens and color in your hat, the bobble and any decorations you’d like to use.

If you’d like a change from using markers then using watercolor paints would make a nice alternative and give a pretty effect on the hat.

Once you’ve finished coloring use your scissors to cut each part out. You’ll find a dotted line around each item to help you.

Glue the brim onto the bottom of the main part of your hat and then glue the bobble to the top of the hat.

Now it’s time to add your decorations to your hat, choose from the snowflake, stars, hearts, zig-zags and diamonds to create your own designs.

If you fancy taking a look through your craft supplies to add to this craft then why not try gluing a large pom pom to the top of your hat rather than using our paper bobble or your could add some stickers to decorate the hat instead. You could also add some sparkle with a bit of glitter glue.
