We’ve been making cloud dough for a couple of years now, and I realised the other day that while I’ve shared how to make scented cloud dough and celebration cloud dough I’ve never actually blogged our two ingredient cloud dough recipe!
This cloud dough is so simple to make that it’s a total lifesaver for cold days when the kids need something to do and it’s perfect as it’s pretty much impossible to get wrong! It’s fabulous for small world play as you can use it to create fun snowy activities, whether it’s just with your kids favourite toys or with polar bears and seals while you learn about the arctic.
What You'll Find on This Page
Cloud Dough Materials:
Two cups of flour
Half a cup of baby oil
Mixing bowl
Tray etc to play on
How to make the perfect two ingredient cloud dough:
Mix the baby oil and four together in your bowl. I like to get the kids to help me with this if I can.
That’s it! Told you it was easy! I’ve used both plain flour and self raising flour for this and it doesn’t seem to make any difference so it’s a great store cupboard activity to do with your kids.
Once your cloud dough is made put it onto a tray or tough spot for your kids to play with, I find that this amount is perfect for sharing between my two children but obviously you can adjust the amounts if you want to make more or less.
Let your kids have fun with their ‘snow’. My kids enjoyed making teeny tiny snowballs for their toys to play with, making little snow angels and burying their toys in the snow for the other ones to dig out. My two year old daughter is obsessed with Frozen at the moment and she loved being able to play with Anna and Elsa in the snow!
