Thanksgiving Dinner Plate Craft (FREE Printable Cut and Paste Activity)

20th October 2026 by Kate Williams | Leave a Comment

Our free printable Thanksgiving dinner plate craft is an easy, low prep activity to make with your child this Thanksgiving.

The two page design is a great way to practice coloring and using scissors while you learn about what’s included in a Thanksgiving meal and I think the finished craft would look great displayed at home or on bulletin boards too.

Kids can build their own Thanksgiving feast including turkey, green beans, corn and pumpkin pie and it’s a great excuse to talk about your plans for Thanksgiving and the things you are most looking forward to!

Thanksgiving Dinner Plate Craft

In amongst all the excitement of Thanksgiving I think it’s nice to sit down with a quiet activity and our Thanksgiving dinner plate craft is perfect as a low prep and low mess activity that you can do at home or in classrooms.

As well as cut and paste crafts being a fun way to practice scissor skills, this activity is also a simple way to encourage talking about Thanksgiving, such as what is your child’s favorite Thanksgiving food, are there any Thanksgiving foods they don’t like as well as the things that they feel thankful for.

What You Need to Make This Thanksgiving Craft

  • Thanksgiving dinner craft printable
  • Printer
  • White paper or cardstock
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Colored markers, pencils or crayons

What’s Included in the Thanksgiving Dinner Printable

Our Thanksgiving dinner printable is a two page PDF design in black and white for kids to color in, also making it easy and cheaper to print.

The first page contains cutlery and all of the things you’ll need for your Thanksgiving meal, turkey, gravy, a carrot, green beans, stuffing, broccoli, sweet potato, corn, a wishbone, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes and a slice of pumpkin pie for dessert.

The second page has two plates on it, a larger plate for your Thanksgiving dinner and a smaller plate for your Thanksgiving dessert.

How to Make a Thanksgiving Dinner Plate Craft

Start by printing both pages of the printable. You can use normal white paper as I have or if you want to make something that’s a little more durable then opt for thicker paper or cardstock instead.

Color in all of the items for your Thanksgiving meal on the first page. You can color in the plates on the second page or leave them blank.

Use scissors to cut out all of the items on the first page. You’ll find a dotted line around each item to help guide you.

Make your Thanksgiving dinner by arranging and gluing your turkey, gravy, carrot, green beans, stuffing, broccoli, sweet potato, corn and mashed potatoes onto your main plate.

Glue your knife and fork to either side of your Thanksgiving plate, stick the wishbone and cranberry sauce in the corner of the page and glue your pumpkin pie onto your dessert plate.

If you wanted to adapt this craft you could glue your paper Thanksgiving foods onto a paper plate rather than using our printable plate.
