There are so many fun Bonfire Night crafts and activities for kids out there that I had to share some with Bonfire Night only a couple of weeks away.

It’s a great night for kids and one my own children always love but they can get a little over excited so making some simple crafts together can be a great opportunity for them to learn more about the meaning behind the celebrations as well as keeping the calm a little!

I’ve tried to share a mixture of Bonfire Night activities for all different ages from toddlers and preschoolers to bigger kids in school. Hopefully you’ll find some inspiration for something your child will love too.

Apple Themed Writing Tray

With back to school and preschool looming on the horizon for us I decided to try out this apple themed writing tray with both my kids. It’s surprisingly easy to set up and can be used both for activities for toddlers and school aged children to practice mark making, letter formation and writing words which means that it can easily be used with both of my kids. I’m also sharing how to dye sand should you wish to do that too!

The Best Constellation Activities for Kids

Like most people I’m pretty sad to see the summer go and if you live in the UK like me then having the clock change hanging over you is nothing to look forward to (does the hollow laugh thing about the ‘extra hour in bed’) One good thing though about the shorter days is the chance to see more of the night sky, which I adore. Stargazing is something that I want to encourage in my own kids and with that in mind I thought I’d share some great constellation activities for kids.

Paper Plate Bats

Every time I think that’s it for Halloween crafting this year something else comes up that we want to make! I suppose I shouldn’t be that surprised that with a Batman obsessed toddler that a request for paper plate bats happened (‘lets make bats mummy!’ ‘Err… yep I think I can work that one out!’) These were so much fun to do, we did them sat next to each other, both working on the task and we were both really happy with how they turned out.

Seashell Craft Ideas: Wall Hanging

Living near the beach is lovely but it does tend to get rather busy on hot days. This weekend we had an early visit there on our way elsewhere to avoid the crowds. We love sea crafts for kids and I’ve been trying to think of some seashell craft ideas that I can do with my toddler, we picked up some seashells and driftwood while we were there and bought them home to make something with later that evening. This is what we came up with!

A couple of weeks back I saw this DIY wall hanging on Tigerlilly Quinn hat I really liked, but I thought it might be fun to use things that we found at the seaside and use some driftwood rather than dowling rod. …
