What You'll Find on This Page
Cut and Paste Horse Craft
Horses are a great addition to any farm theme but as someone who did a lot of horse riding as a kid I know that little Kate would also have loved to make some horse crafts at home!
Our horse craft is designed as a one page printable where you can build the horse’s head rather than the whole body, meaning that you have larger pieces which are easier for kids to color, cut out and assemble.
As with our other cut and paste crafts this activity is a fun way for kids to practice their coloring, cutting skills and fine motor skills but it’s also just a great choice for anyone who wants to make an easy horse or pony craft.

Craft Supplies Needed
- Horse craft PDF
- White paper or cardstock
- Printer
- Scissors
- Glue
- Colored markers, coloring pencils or crayons
What’s Included In Your Horse Printable
This design is a one page printable PDF featuring a horse’s head, mane, ear, eye, nose and rosette.
On the PDF you’ll find instructions to help you make it, an image showing you what your finished horse craft should look like and some facts about horses.
This is a black and white design for kids to color and cut out and once you have downloaded our PDF you may print the PDF as many times as you like for personal or classroom use.
How To Make Your Horse Craft
Start by printing your horse craft PDF onto white paper or cardstock. Normal printer paper is fine for this craft and is easier for kids to cut but if you want something a little sturdier then choose cardstock.

Use colored markers, coloring pencils or crayons to color in all the parts of your horse as well as it’s rosette.

Use scissors to cut the different parts of the horse craft out. You’ll find a dotted line around each item to help guide you.

Glue the three larger pieces of the horse’s mane onto the back of your horse’s head and then glue the smaller part of the mane onto the front of their head.

To complete your horse craft glue on the eye, ear, nose and rosette.
