Cut and Paste Earth Day Craft
I’ve shared a lot of cut and paste crafts recently and it’s been great to hear the feedback from you guys about how much you and your kids have been enjoying them.
They’re a great way for kids to practice scissor skills and for adding a bit extra to just coloring in something, perfect for slightly older children.
In the PDF file for this Earth Day craft you’ll find four pages. The first two pages are to make a planet Earth shows Europe, Africa, North and South America and Antarctica while the other two pages show Asia and Australia.
You can print out all the pages or just the two for the picture of the Earth that you want to make.

Earth Day Cut Out Craft
Start by printing out the PDF template, normal white printer paper is fine for this.
You can choose to print all four pages so that you can make both sides of the planet or opt to print out just the two pages that you want for one side of the Earth.
Grab your coloring materials and color in all the the seperate parts on the printable including the continents, the oceans and the stars. You can use whatever you want to color these in so colored markers, crayons or coloring pencils are all fine.
Using scissors carefully cut out all the parts that you have colored in following the dotted lines on the printable.
Grab your colored paper and stick the globe shape onto it. You can use colored paper, cardstock or construction paper for this and while I’d recommend using a blue or black for the background to show that the Earth is in space it’s fine to go with whatever color you have at home or whatever your child prefers.
For an alternative using recycled materials you could also have a look through any old scrap paper or card you have available – how about gluing the Earth onto the back of some cardboard that’s previously been used for packaging?
Following the guidelines on your planet glue each of the continents into place and then glue on the moon and stars to the background of your picture.
Finally add the clouds for Earth Day and if you like add the face for your Earth – this part obviously isn’t essential but if you have a child that likes cute things it’s a great addition.
