Environmental Books for Kids
Trees Make Perfect Pets* by Paul Czajak. This book is a great introduction to environmentalism for kids that aren’t into fact books with it’s sweet story about a girl who wants a pet tree.
One Plastic Bag: Isatou Ceesay and the Recycling Women of the Gambia* by Miranda Paul. I think it’s good for children (and adults!) to see that one person can make a difference and this picture book tells the story of Isatou Ceesay who began a movement to recycle the plastic bags that were polluting her environment
Kids Fight Plastic* by Martin Dorey. I love the illustrations in this book by Martin Dorey who started the #2minutebeachclean movement. The book is full of simple ways that kids can help save the planet and become a two minute superhero.
