Craft Supplies
- Build a stocking PDF
- White paper or cardstock
- Scissors
- Glue
- Colored markers, coloring pencils or crayons
Build a Christmas Stocking Craft
To start with print out the PDF file for the stocking craft. If you just want to do the basic stocking then just print out the first page but choose both if you want to add the extra accessories.
You can use paper or cardstock for this activity with card stock being that bit sturdier, if you want to display this craft at home then that might be a good option for you.
Color in all the parts or the stocking as well as the decorations and the presents to go inside it.
Using scissors, carefully cut out the different parts following the dotted lines around each one.

To make the basic stocking shape glue the toe patch, heel patch and cuff onto the stocking where indicated to do so. Glue the loop onto the back of the stocking so that it is sticking out at the top.

Stick the decorations on to the front of your stocking. You can use the cut outs from either page for this or if you’d prefer grab a pencil or marker to design your own stocking. You could add your initial, name or do a drawing of something festive. Don’t feel like drawing? How about using some stickers to decorate instead.

Finally add the gift, candy cane and gingerbread man to the back of the stocking so that they are sticking out from the top.

As a mom I know exactly what it’s like trying to keep your kids entertained in the lead up to Christmas so I’ve put all of our free Christmas printables into one place to help make it as easy as possible for you to find fun activities and crafts to do with your child.
These printable Christmas baubles are one of the newest additions and they’re a great idea if you have a Christmas tree in your classroom or preschool too.

I love this snowman card printable with it’s fun 3D design. There are three designs to choose from and they’re great for coloring as well as sending to aunts, uncles and grandparents.

Finally this cut and paste gingerbread man is cute and fun to make and when (gasp!) you’ve had enough of making Christmas crafts you could make it without the Santa hat and candy cane to use alongside the gingerbread man story.
