8th December 2015 by Kate Williams | 3 Comments

Have you got a Christmas jumper? I haven’t but I know that my kids love them! I’m always trying to think of new activities to keep my kids busy so I thought it would be fun to try out a Christmas jumper craft for kids with these fun ornaments. I made these with my two year old daughter while my son was at school one day, guess what his opinion on them was?!

Heart Shaped Easy Christmas Ornaments For Kids

Updated on 9th November 2017 by Kate Williams | 3 Comments

This year we’ve been offered the chance to review a Christmas tree from Pines and Needles which has been beyond exciting for the kids. To decorate our new tree we thought we thought we would try and do some easy Christmas ornaments for kids to make, not only do they look pretty but they are great for fine motor skills too. Making these Christmas ornaments also had a surprising benefit to my kids which I will share with you later on.

Gingerbread Playdough and Christmas Playdough Ideas

Updated on 20th November 2018 by Kate Williams | 6 Comments

Both my kids love playing with playdough and as we seem to get through quite a bit of it I often end up making some too, it’s great for easy activities for toddlers as well as older kids (and me!) who enjoy playing with it. Today I’m sharing a recipe for Gingerbread playdough that I made last week as well as some ideas for playing with it. Love Christmas playdough? Me too, so I’m also sharing some of my favourite Christmas playdough ideas to help keep you inspired for some festive fun this Christmas.

Christmas Tree Sensory Bin

30th November 2015 by Kate Williams | 4 Comments

This week we are getting a Christmas tree delivered which is very exciting (overwhelmingly exciting if you asked the kids) but as usual there is one small issue involved when you have a toddler in the house. Well… it’s the toddler isn’t it? And a Christmas tree. Always a source of excitement and fear, I don’t think I’ve yet had a year as a parent when I haven’t been more than a little concerned that their desire to look at the pretty things would end with a tree on top of a small person. As my toddler adores sensory play at the moment I thought I would try making her a Christmas tree sensory bin where she could safely handle a few ornaments under my supervision and hopefully then not be to desperate to touch them again once the tree is up?! As normal this was a last minute idea so there’s some tips in the post below if you plan on getting this Christmas tree sensory bin ready for your little one while you inhale a cup of tea!

DIY Stamped White Clay Ornaments

Updated on 5th June 2024 by Kate Williams | 5 Comments

Advert. Earlier this month I was challenged by A Space to create a Christmas decoration for my children’s bedroom. I love decorating the kids rooms at Christmas time as it helps get them all excited about the big day, although arguably my kids don’t need that much encouragement!

At first I thought about making some bunting for my daughters room but after a bit I realised that this probably wasn’t the best idea as I would spend all evening panicking that she had wrapped herself up in it.

Instead I opted to make these pretty white clay ornaments which are now on the end of her cot. Not only are these super easy to make and personalise but apart from waiting for the clay to dry they are super quick to do too so they’re a great way to bring a bit of festive cheer to your kids rooms.

I’ve included some tips below to make these as easily as possible and I’d love to hear if you try these at home!
