3 Fun Christmas Snacks for Kids
As the mum of fussy eaters I know that my children are far more likely to want to eat something if it looks fun! I haven’t blogged any food posts for a little while but when I was asked by Brioche Pasquier if I could come up with some fun Christmas snacks for kids then I was definitely up for the challenge and I have to say that I was really pleased with the results! There’s a mixture of sweet and more savory Christmas sandwich ideas here, perfect for a Christmas treat.
Easy Christmas Cards Kids Can Make
A few weeks ago we were challenged to make something using glue and I came up with a really clever faffy idea that I thought would be awesome. And….uhhhh….it was rubbish. I mean it took days to set, it was all clumpy, when it finally dried I didn’t even feel like showing it to the kids. That bad. Thankfully though I have my two little superheros on hand and they are always ready to save the day. “Mummy, can I make a card for my friend” so he did and we did and these simple Christmas cards kind of saved the day for us.
Fine Motor Christmas Activity for Toddlers
Today I planned on making some clay Christmas tree ornaments with my toddler but that totally didn’t go to plan. Why? Because at two years old she thinks clay is playdough and stacked all my beautifully prepared decorations on top of each other. And then she crushed them. (Can I add ‘and my dreams’ here or does that sound mean?!) Toddlers do not check out Pinterest, they couldn’t care less for what looks pretty on Instagram either but that doesn’t mean that they shouldn’t be involved in some fun Christmas activities too. This activity was totally led by her and it kept her happy and entertained for ages, so maybe a fine motor Christmas activity for toddlers is the perfect kind of activity after all?
