I did this fine motor skills Christmas tree craft with my daughter a few weeks ago but totally forgot to write it up until today – oops! It’s a really nice craft because it’s easy to set up and you can use it in a few different ways – the Christmas trees could go on the front of Christmas cards or you could make a few and string them together to make a garland.

It’s not long now until the Olympics starts in Rio so I’ve been thinking up some fun Olympics activity ideas for my kids. I originally planned this for my daughter who is at preschool but my son (5) had a day off school and when he saw this he really wanted to get involved too! It actually turned out to be a great activity for him too and we got to discuss a few things and he learnt a bit both about the Olympics and his mum too!

Do your kids like stickers? Mine are obsessed! I’m quite happy for them to play with them because they’re great for fine motor skills and because they’re a really quiet and calm activity too, but after a while I thought they might like something to do with them other than just stick them on a bit of paper. They’re are loads of ways that your kids can play and learn with stickers and most of them are pretty cheap ways to keep your kids busy too!
