Easy Zombie Craft for Kids

20th October 2017 by Kate Williams | 3 Comments

Since I told my son I had an idea for an easy zombie craft for kids he wouldn’t stop asking me when we could make it, I did have to point out a few times that sensible things like school and mealtimes do get in the way of crafting sometimes! Both my son who is 6 and my daughter who has just turned 4 had fun making their own zombies with only a little bit of help with the cutting. Of course I had to make one myself because there is no one in this house that’s rocking the mombie look better than I am (when are the kids meant to start sleeping through?!) so mine has the obligatory mum Breton top on and brown hair. Not sure if the kids got the hint though?!  This is a really easy Halloween craft that’s fun to make and requires only the basics including a quick rumble through your recycling bin. How to make your zombies:

Start by measuring your white card against your toilet roll and cut a piece of card the right size to wrap around the toilet roll and then cut a rectangle out of the top of the card. Decorate your card to be the persons body and then secure it around the toilet roll using some sellotape, you want it to be tight enough so that you can still move it round.

With both cardboard tubes in place draw a normal face onto your toilet roll and then – argh! Turn the toilet roll around and draw on your post transformation zombie face – eek!

A bit grim? Well, maybe but my kids are asking me daily how long it is until Halloween and they loved making these and have played with them ever since!

Haha, these are pretty cool and love anything that doesn’t involve buying a ton of new materials!
