How to display your kids artwork

4th August 2017 by Kate Williams | 6 Comments

As you can imagine as a family we create quite a lot of art here. Not all of it ends up on the blog but there’s normally quite a lot of drawing, colouring and sticking going on too – most mornings my three year old seems to want to get the glue out within five minutes of waking up (a bit concerning as that’s normally when I work!) In our old home I washi taped the kids pictures to the wall but after moving to our new house and spending months renovating it I wanted to use something to display the kids art that was a bit….nicer.

A little while ago I was asked by The Articulate Gallery if I’d like to try out a couple of their picture frames. Their pictures frames are designed specifically for displaying kids artwork and have a gap of around a centimetre or two where you insert the pictures so they’re perfect for any 3D pictures or where your kids have stuck things on – something that’s very common around here! They can also be used for portrait or landscape pictures although with hindsight I probably should have nailed mine onto the wall further apart so that I could move mine more often.

As well as the single frames which we have The Articulate Gallery also have frames where you can add two, three or four frames perfect if your kids make a lot of art! It’s really easy to slip pictures in and out of the frames too and having room for 3D pictures also means that there’s no glass involved – always an extra blessing where kids are involved.

I love the way these picture frames look in our house and they definitely encourage the kids to create more – plus it’s great for them to see their pictures displayed not just left in a corner somewhere.

And although we were sent a couple of these frames to review, I’ve also since bought a couple so now both my kids can have them in their rooms – always a good sign!

These frames are gorgeous – what a simple but really effective idea. Mine are too big for this kind of thing now, but I’d have loved to have had these a few years ago!

Really great frames and so glad you have made me aware of these. We are looking for frames for the playroom!

At the moment all artwork gets stuck to the inside of cupboard doors!

These are great frames, they will make the child feel really proud of what they have done. I love displaying my kids artwork and we have lots of it around – mostly on canvas though. Mich x
