Polar Bear Craft For Kids

Sometimes my kids demand that we must make something right here right now and this simple polar bear craft for kids is the result of this weeks demands! I’ve shared some arctic animal crafts for kids before and my son has been desperate to make a polar bear, perhaps it’s the cold weather at the moment? Paper plate crafts are always among my favourites as they’re just so easy and cheap to make and this activity is an absolute winner as we put it together just using things we found around the house.

You will need:

Paper plates

Cotton wool balls

Glue

White paper or card

Black card

Scissors

Making our Polar Bears:

Both my son who is six and my daughter who is three were able to join in with this craft, my son has previously studied bears at school so it was a great activity for him too as he told us some of the bear facts he had learnt. We started by covering the paper plates in glue and then both kids covered the plates in cotton wool balls. We cut out round shapes from paper and glued these on for ears and then from the black card cut out eyes, a nose and mouth and glued these on top of the cotton wool.

It’s a really nice sensory craft for kids as they get to play with all the cotton wool too.
