Inspiring and Achievable Quiet Book Ideas

Updated on 9th January 2019 by Kate Williams | Leave a Comment

Over the last couple of weeks I’ve shared a couple of posts on the Crafts on Sea Facebook page about quiet books and each time they’ve gone slightly crazy! People love quiet books and I can see why, they’re a great gift that you can make for your kid and they can help chill them out and help them learn at the same time. Fantastic! Seeing as they were so popular I thought it would be fun to make a little round up of some inspirational quiet book ideas. Stuff that looks cool but that is actually achievable too (I have two kids, I know what it’s like!) Hope you like them!

Inspiring and Achievable Quiet Book Ideas

Heather from It’s a Long Story made her quiet book over the course of a week. I love the piggy bank idea in it and the Mr Potato Head is outstanding!

Dyan from And Next Comes L shares loads of great quiet book ideas on her blog. I love this number train and I know my son would love these pirate themed quiet book pages.

Powerful Mothering has a great resource of ideas for no sew quiet books. Some of my favourite pages from it are this this apple picking one and I love the sun in this one. Too cute!

Over on The Realistic Mama there’s a great tutorial for how to make a paper quiet book that kids can use on long car journeys or when they’re sat waiting at a restaurant. It looks great for helping with fine motor skills too.

This quiet book page from Stir the Wonder is such a  lovely way to help kids learn how to form their own name.

Jenni shares all the pages here that her mum made in this gorgeous quiet book and thankfully she explains how you can make them too! I love the little baseball page and that the quiet book was made from an upcycled maternity shirt!

I love these quiet book ideas and I hope you do too! I’m adding making one to my ever growing list of things to make.
