How To Make Your Backpack Craft
Start by printing your backpack craft PDF onto white paper or cardstock. Printer paper is easier to cut while cardstock will make your backpack a little more durable if you want to play with it.

Use markers, coloring pencils or crayons to color in all the parts of the backpack and the school items that you want to use with it. If you’d like to use our paper stickers to decorate your backpack then color these in too.

Use your scissors to cut out all of the parts of the backpack, you’ll find a dotted line around each item to help guide you.
As there’s quite a few pieces to this activity I decided not to cut out the stickers or school supplies until I’d finished building my backpack.

Glue the main part of the backpack onto the bag back, putting the glue around three edges as indicated.
Stick the tab of the front flap onto the back of the bag, so that it folds over the create the top part of the bag then stick the handle and straps to the back of the bag.

Glue on the bag buckles and then glue on the folded buckle loops so that you can put the buckles through the gaps.
Glue the name tag to the front of your backpack, you can add your name and class with a marker pen if you wish.

Make the backpack side pockets by folding the pocket parts and then gluing the tabs down and then glue the paper pockets to either side of the backpack.

Cut out your sticker decorations and glue these onto your backpack to decorate it then cut out the school supplies and put some of these into your backpack’s side pockets. You can also use the zip pocket at the front of your backpack.

Put the remainder of your paper school supplies into your finished backpack craft ready to play with.
