Back To School Color By Number
Our color by number printables are great for last minute activities or when you don’t have loads of time to prepare something. All you need to do is print out the PDF file, grab some coloring materials and you’re ready to go.
During the first week of school I think it’s great to have a few easy and calming activities that kids can do that encourage them to slow down a little and focus, I know with my own kids that it really can be quite a big deal and there’s a lot going on!
These printables are great for using as themed coloring sheets but they’re also ideal for helping with number and color recognition too and obviously our color by sum printables are great for supporting basic math skills.
In the PDF file you’ll find five different images.
The first is a purely black and white color by number design that’s great if you’re saving on printer ink while the second design has a little more color with the color key colored in at the top of the page.
The third and fouth pages are our color by sum printables, these have the same design to color in but with some simple addition and subtraction included too.

How To Use Your Color By Number Printable
Print the design you want to use onto white paper and grab your coloring pencils or markers, make sure that you have all the colors that you need.
Check the number on the section that you want to color against the color key at the top of the worksheet and then color that area in. Keep going until all of your picture is colored in.
Coloring in the color by sum printable instead? You’ll need to work out the answer to the sum before you can check what color you’ll need to use.
