Police Car Craft

Our police car craft is perfect for kids to create and our free printable means that it’s super quick and easy for you to prepare.

The PDF file for this activity contains two different designs, in the first one the police car is designed to look more like one that you’d find in the USA while the second design is more like police car’s from the UK with a rectangular design on the body of the car.

Craft Supplies Needed:

  • Cut and paste police car PDF
  • White paper or cardstock
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Coloring pencils, colored markers or crayons

How To Make Your Police Car

Making our police car is really easy to do and as well as the instructions here you’ll find some easy to follow guidance on the printable itself.

Start by printing out your preferred page from the PDF file, you can use normal white printer paper or you want something a little more sturdy then go for cardstock instead.

Next color in all the separate parts, traditionally police cards in the UK are blue, white and yellow while police cars in the USA tend to be black and white. You could look up what they look like in your area or just go with your favorite colors.

Using your scissors carefully cut out all of the parts for the craft, you’ll find dotted lines around each piece to help guide you.

Add a little bit of glue to the back of each piece (except for the main car body) and glue each part in place so that it resembles the picture in the top left corner of the printable. Don’t forget to add your police sign, windows and of course the siren.

More Free Vehicle Printables

I’ve shared loads of free templates and printables with a vehicle theme so if you’re in need for some resources to help you out then you’re in the right place! These are some of my favorites to get you started but you’ll find loads more available too.

Our build an ambulance craft would be a great addition to this police craft as part of a community helpers topic.

Our boat template has three different designs and would be great for coloring or as a starting place for easy art projects, you could even use it as a writing prompt – where is your boat sailing too and what kind of adventures will they have?

Finally our fire engine template also has three designs available with basic outlines and one with more details including the fire hose. Prefer cut and paste crafts? We’ve got a fire truck craft that’s perfect for you!
