This moon landing craft is free for you to download and only uses really basic supplies so it’s really cheap for you to be able to make at home or as you can print as many copies as you like it’s great for a low cost activity to make in classrooms too.
As well as details on how to get your free download and instructions for how to make your space scene you’ll also find links to some of our favorite space themed crafts and activities that we’ve shared in the past.
Craft Materials Needed
- Space craft PDF
- 2 Pieces of white paper
- Colored markers, coloring pencils or crayons
- Scissors
- Glue
Moon Landing Craft
Start by printing out both pages of the PDF. Normal white printer paper is absolutely fine for this but if you want something a little more sturdy then go for cardstock instead.
Now it’s time to start coloring, you’ll need to color both the background page and all of our space and moon themed items on the other sheet. You can also design your own flag, either drawing the flag of your country or you could design a new flag which represents you.
When you’ve colored everything in it’s time to grab the scissors and start cutting all the items out from the first page. You’ll find a dotted line around each item to help guide you.
Grab the glue and lets get started making your moon scene. Put a little bit of glue on the back of each piece before you stick it onto your background scene.
I would recommend sticking the larger items on first to make sure that you have room for them so make room for your rocket ship, astronaut with their flag, the Earth and the satellite and once you are happy with where you have stuck them then add the stars, footprints and all the other parts.
