Build an Easter Bunny Craft

Easter is always a really popular time in our home with time off school and the anticipation of chocolate, candy and Easter egg hunts.

I think it’s a nice idea to make the most of the things that your kids are genuinely interested in anyway with some crafts so this cute Easter bunny craft is designed to be something that you can make at home or as a classroom craft.

You can use this printable as we have with some folded card stock or construction paper to make an Easter card or just use it to make a rabbit craft – I think this would look great on bulletin boards on classrooms too.

All you need to do is print out the template and grab the minimal craft materials and you’re ready to get started.

Craft Supplies

  • Cut and paste Easter bunny PDF
  • White paper or cardstock
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Coloring pencils, markers or crayons
  • Optional – Colored cardstock to make a card

Cut Out Easter Bunny

Start by printing your PDF onto white printer paper or cardstock. I’ve used normal plain paper for mine but cardstock will make it a bit more sturdy.

Color in all parts of your bunny, the Easter egg and the ribbon. You will only need to color in one of the bunny’s faces depending on which one you decide to use.

Grab your scissors and cut along the dotted lines to cut out all the parts of the bunny parts and accessories.

Glue the bunny’s ears onto the back of their head and glue their nose onto the front of their face. You can use either a glue stick or PVA / school glue for this.

Stick the rabbit’s head onto their body and then glue on their tail. If you prefer you could use a cotton ball for the tail instead.

Finally glue the Easter egg onto the front of the bunny’s body and glue the ribbon onto that.

If you would like to make this into an Easter bunny card then just fold a piece of colored cardstock in half to make the card shape and then glue your bunny onto the front of this.

More Easter Crafts for Kids

I love sharing easy Easter crafts for kids and we’ve got lots of free resources and fun ideas that you can try out in a classroom or at home both with some using free printables and some using materials that you probably already own.

Make a cute 3D scene with this printable Easter craft featuring Easter eggs, a basket some super cute chicks and some daffodils.

You can use this as a decoration or it would make a great Easter card too.

This is a great activity for older kids as it requires a bit more scissor skills but you could totally make this with younger children too with kids doing the coloring and adults doing the cutting for them.

For a really easy Easter bunny craft that preschoolers and toddlers can join in with too why not try out this Easter nature craft where your little learners can decorate the egg using flowers and leaves that you’ve found together in your backyard.

Finally for a super simple DIY why not check out our easy Easter chick craft that I made with my daughter.

This is one that has been made loads by kids (I’ve seen the very cute pictures!) and uses a sponge to make it easy for little hands.
