I love cut and paste crafts as a fun way to create something while you practice scissor skills, they’re a lot more fun than the traditional scissor skills worksheets and they’re definitely more about enjoying making something as the main part.

They’re also a really simple craft to set up and prepare as the supplies that you need are ones that you’re already likely to have at home or in your classroom.

Build A Turtle Craft

Grab your scissors and glue and let’s get ready to make this cute turtle craft.

Sea turtles are often a really popular animal with kids which is a great thing for adults as they’re something that fits so well for so many different topics.

Under the sea crafts and ocean crafts are obviously a big win here but there a great one is your looking at climate change as part of a topic about our planet or as part of Earth Day.

Whatever your reason is I think this is a great crafts and I hope that you enjoy creating it too.

Craft Supplies

• Build A Turtle PDF
• White paper or cardstock
• Scissors
• Coloring materials, colored pencils, markers or crayons
• Glue – school glue (PVA glue) or a glue stick

Cut and Paste Turtle

Start by printing your turtle PDF onto cardstock or paper. The cardstock will make your craft a little more sturdy but it can be a bit harder for little hands to cut.

For this craft I printed my PDF onto normal white printer paper and this was fine for me.

Color in all the different sections of your turtle including all the parts of it’s shell and then cut these out using your scissors.

Glue the turtle’s head, tail and flippers onto the underneath of it’s shell.

Take the seven different parts of the turtle’s shell markings and glue these onto the top of it’s shell.
