Mess Free Snowflake Sensory Bag

21st November 2016 by Kate Williams | 1 Comment

This snowflake sensory bag was so easy to make that now I want to make them with all sorts of themes! You can put this simple activity together in around two minutes and even better it’s easily adaptable for different ages, so although it looks like mess free sensory play for babies, my son who is nearly six also enjoyed playing with it and actually you can use it for simple maths activities too!

Winter Tree Suncatchers

Updated on 4th November 2016 by Kate Williams | 5 Comments

Yesterday I did a super brave thing, I got the glitter out. I know that if you write about kids crafts then somehow you are expected to automatically love glitter but this mama has spent too long cleaning the stuff up to be a big fan of it! We did find a way to keep the mess under control though and I think our winter tree suncatchers worked out really well!

Milk bottle luminary penguin craft for kids

11th January 2016 by Kate Williams | 1 Comment

I kind of love penguin crafts. Actually that’s probably because I rather love penguins, there’s something about them that never fails to bring a smile to my face. This cute penguin craft for kids is really simple to make and is a fun winter craft for colder days. What’s more, with a simple hack you can turn it into a fun luminary too!

Scissor Skills Christmas Tree Craft

24th November 2015 by Kate Williams | Leave a Comment

Hopefully on the final day of poorly kids today as they have been climbing the walls! When things get a bit frantic I know that Christmas crafts are a great way to calm my two down and the Christmas tree craft is great as not only was it fun to make but it helps improve scissor skills too. Add some stickers for supporting their fine motor skills and suddenly you have a cute Christmas tree craft that’s pretty educational too, wow, how did that happen?! And the kids didn’t notice either, they were far too busy having fun.
