Let’s make it:
Start by cutting out feather shapes from your coloured foam, you can use coloured card but I really like the vibrancy of coloured foam and the thickness of it helps to keep the feathers on your turkey pointing up and not drooping downwards at all. Once all the feathers are cut out stick them onto your paper bag.
Next cut the body shape for your turkey out from another paper bag and stick this onto your turkey puppet with glue, I like pva glue rather than a glue stick as it tends to make it a bit sturdier for playing with, however the glue sticks do seem to stick quicker if your kids are desperate to start playing! Cut a triangle out of yellow foam to make a beak and stick that onto the turkey’s face and then draw on some eyes.
Once the glue is dry your paper bag turkey craft is ready to be used as a puppet. If you like this craft be sure to bookmark this page or pin the image below so you don’t forget to make it. Need more Thanksgiving craft ideas? Check out some of our crafts below!
