Paper Bag Bear Craft for Kids

14th July 2017 by Kate Williams | 3 Comments

Over the last few months I’ve been sharing a few simple paper bag crafts for kids and today’s craft seems so obvious I can’t believe it’s taken this long to make it – a super cute paper bag bear. This bear craft for kids is great because not only is it fun to make but using a paper bag also means that you can use it as a puppet – perfect if your kids fancy putting on an impromptu performance of Goldilocks and the Three Bears!

Paper bag (two is best)

Black pen

Lets make your paper bag bear!

Start by drawing your bears face, felt tips are best although as our back felt tip has gone missing I used this pen which is probably one of the most useful things I own (especially with the new school year approaching!) Drawing on pink cheeks makes everything look instantly cuter so they are highly recommended!

The bags that I use are from Morrissons bakery and are a great excuse for me to buy lots of their cookies. If you don’t live near a Morrissons or if you would like to make a lot of paper bag bears and don’t want to have to buy 500 cookies you can buy some bags online here.

Next you will need to make some ears for your bear. If you have a spare paper bag then you can cut some out of these, brown card would work just as well or if you’re a bit strapped for materials you could cut them out of the back of your paper bag at the bottom without it making too much of an issue.

Colour the middle of your bears ears pink and then glue them into place and you’re ready to play!
