I think that these paint chip puzzles might be the cheapest Halloween activity I’ve ever created for my kids? I guess they must be since they pretty much cost me nothing to make! I love Halloween crafting with my kids but at the rate they go through things the cost of doing activities can add up very quickly so it’s nice to throw in something thrifty sometimes! Today I’m sharing how to make these super simple paint chip puzzles as well as some of my favourite Halloween activities for toddlers to help keep the little people in your life busy this October.

How to make your paint chip puzzles
Put your paint chips side by side and turn them over, for toddlers I think it’s especially helpful if you can get the colours to match on each side. Draw your picture and then cut the shapes out. Normally I freehand all my crafts (you could tell, right?!) but drawing these out first made it much easier to ensure the two sides match properly.
Using the left over bits of paint chips, or other paint chip cards cut out eyes and a mouth for your ghost paint chip puzzle or a stalk for a pumpkin puzzle and glue these on.
At 24 months old my daughter had good fun playing with these and actually her older brother did too!
