Free Printable Elf on the Shelf Masks
I’m going to admit that Elf on the shelf wasn’t something that I wanted to do, in fact for years I avoided it and point blank refused to allow an elf into our home.
Then my daughter bought an elf herself. Busted.
Now that I’ve actually got a December of elf activities under my belt I don’t fear it so much, in fact seeing how much my kids enjoyed it was great and it really brought the Christmas magic to our December.
As far as my kids were concerned it’s one of the best Christmas traditions!
We’ll definitely be repeating it this holiday season which is why I’m sharing these free printables, I needed something new for my elf to do so I figured you might too!
There’s so many fun designs in this pack with plenty of dressing up ideas and printable props for your little elf to try out before they head on back to the North Pole on Christmas Eve.
I had lots of fun just testing these out at home while my kids were at school and I really hope that you and your family enjoy them too.
Not doing elf on the shelf? I bet your kids would get a kick from seeing their favorite toys dressed up with these, I’m certain that Barbie would love to rock a Santa mask!

How To Use Your Elf Masks and Accessories
To use your free elf printables print them out onto white paper or cardstock. Cardstock will give them a little more durability but I printed mine onto normal printer paper and this worked completely fine.
Using scissors cut out the mask or accessory that you want and then attach them to your elf using double sided tape or blue tack – I think this is referred to putty in the US and some other countries but if I’m wrong please let me know.
If you don’t want to attach your mask directly onto your elf you could use a popsicle stick and glue the mask onto there for your elf to hold.
Elf On The Shelf Ideas
Because I spent last November panicking about how I would get through the whole of the Christmas season without having to put my elf in quarantine I’ve written up the 24 elf on the shelf ideas that we did in our home last year.
These really are quick and last minute ideas because like most busy moms that’s all I had time to do and you’ll also find lots of photos too.
Plus it means you only need to look in one place rather than hunting through all of the internet and social media every night for inspiration!
If you love freebies (and you know that I do) then you might also like to check out our free printable ice cream stand for your elf on the shelf.
We’ve also got a super cute build an elf craft that you can download for free. You could leave this out with some coloring pencils or markers so your kid can make their own paper elf.
