Fourth of July Game
I love playing games with my kids but after buying a few online that we only played a couple of times I kind of got a little fed up about how much money I was spending on them.
We all want to have fun with our kids but no one wants to spend more money than they have to, especially with so many things being expensive right now.
What I like about this game is that you don’t need to spend loads of money to play it, you don’t even need a dice. Just print it out, grab a marker each and you’re ready to go.
All you have to do is decide where you’re going to hide your hot dog in the scene and then try to guess where your opponent has hidden theirs.
My kids love anything themed for celebration days so I think that this treasure hunt game with flags, s’mores and a super cute dog will be a big hit and I hope it will be with your family too.
What Materials Do I Need To Play?
- 4th July game PDF
- Marker pen

How To Play Our Fourth of July Game
Our hot dog hunt game is designed to be played by two people and is similar to ‘battleships’ style games if you’ve played those before.
Start by printing out two copies of the PDF file so that each player has a copy.
On the lower design decide which square you want to hide your hot dog in and draw an X there. If you want you could draw a little hot dog instead! Fold the bottom section to keep the location hidden.
It’s now time to guess where your opponents hot dog is so take it in turns to ask questions like ‘is your hot dog in a square with a flag’ or ‘is it in a square with a cloud?’
If it’s not hidden there then use your marker to cross through those boxes in the top grid so you know where it’s not hidden.
Once you think you’ve narrowed down where it could be it’s time to guess the actual square it’s hidden in for example B4.
The winner is the person who correctly guesses the correct location first.
